Introduction to Programming

This course is a general introduction to computer programming with a look into web design and development. The course will introduce front-end and back-end programming languages that allow students to gain experience that can be applied across a variety of programming contexts. Students will learn to solve problems and make games with Ruby and learn to bring their designs to life with the basics of Photoshop. They will learn the fundamentals of HTML, CSS, & Javascript and implement them in fully functional websites.

Completion of an algebra course. This is an introductory course; no prior experience in programming is assumed. Students with significant programming experience are encouraged to apply to other courses.
