Investigations in Bioscience and Biotechnology: Nanobiomaterials

This will be a 3-week introductory course on "Nanobiomaterials" targeted towards exceptional high school students interested in bioengineering, nanotechnology and materials science. The course will provide a historical perspective of the field and introduce five major types of Nanobiomaterials. We will discuss the unique properties of Nanobiomaterials and their potential to revolutionize industries ranging from manufacturing to medicine. Additionally, the course will discuss the specific applications of Nanobiomaterials in different areas of research including diagnostics, medicine and biosensors. Potential future applications, opportunities for young scientists & engineers, and key challenges in the field will be summarized as well.
