Investigations in Bioscience and Biotechnology: Tissue Engineering

Engineering human tissue outside the body is a promising strategy to study human development and disease modeling, drug development, and regenerative medicine. In this course, we will explore various methods of engineering tissues in the laboratory including traditional tissue culture techniques, 3D tissue engineering, and 3D bioprinting. Lab modules of this course will engage students to gain hands-on experience with all of these techniques. The goal of this course is to equip students with state-of-art tissue engineering strategies, principles, and tools to both propose research questions and solve a real-life tissue engineering problem.
