Human-computer interaction (HCI) is a multidisciplinary field that combines perspectives from computer science, psychology, and design in order to understand how people interact with technology, and how to design and build systems to improve user interactions. Students will take a deep-dive into the fundamentals of human-computer interaction. The course will cover the history and origins of HCI, user-centered design, prototyping techniques, and usability evaluation methods. In addition, the course will address the role of HCI in current and future technologies, such as virtual reality, augmented reality, and artificial intelligence, as well as its applications in medicine, education, and society.
