Innovation and Entrepreneurship

This course provides students with an engaging introduction to innovation and entrepreneurship, including customer insight, marketing, product development, and business models. We emphasize using design thinking to solve real customer problems and build a healthy business. Students explore a wide range of fundamental business concepts and Silicon Valley companies. The class uses various learning materials, fun exercises, and a team startup final project to bring entrepreneurship to life. We explore career paths and leadership skills to help students discover how a future career in business fits their interests and capabilities.

Session Two

*The course will meet for two hours daily (Monday–Friday) for a live online class during this window of time. The third hour is used for online office hours. Students will be admitted to and attend just one course section and time. The exact course time and office hour schedule will be set closer to the start of the program. In addition to the live meeting times, students complete out-of-class learning assignments such as assigned readings, group work, pre-recorded online lectures, and more.
